IceCap AIO 20G 800L Return Pump

Maintaining clean, well-oxygenated water in nano reef environments requires strong, consistent circulation through your filtration media. The IceCap AIO 20G 800L Pump (SKU: IC-AIO-PUMP-20G) is the official OEM replacement submersible return pump designed specifically for 20-Gallon All-In-One (AIO) Aquariums. Over time, calcium carbonate buildup, detritus accumulation, or electrical wear can cause small return pumps to lose flow output or emit noise.

Delivering up to 800 L/H (approximately 211 GPH), this compact pump sits in the final return chamber of rear AIO filtration sumps. It draws filtered water up from the bottom chamber and pushes it back into the main display through the return tubing assembly. Its low-voltage, energy-efficient motor operates with minimal vibration, keeping desktop aquariums quiet and stable.

    System Compatibility Note

This replacement pump is sized and calibrated specifically for 20-Gallon All-In-One (AIO) desktop aquariums. For smaller 10-gallon or larger 24-gallon AIO systems requiring different turnover rates, refer to the corresponding 600L or 1000L replacement return pump models.

    • (Note: Package includes (1) replacement 800 L/H return pump with suction cup base and barbed hose adapter).

    • Primary Compatibility: IceCap AIO 20G Desktop Aquariums & Similar 20G Nano Displays

    Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:

    1. Disconnect power to your nano aquarium filtration equipment and unplug the old return pump.

    2. Carefully detach the flexible return tubing from the barbed outlet nozzle of the existing pump in the rear chamber.

    3. Lift the old pump out of the rear return compartment.

    4. Press the new IC-AIO-PUMP-20G onto the bottom glass of the return chamber using the suction cup dampening base.

    5. Push the return hose firmly onto the pump's barbed outlet nozzle, ensure the chamber is filled with water, and plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

    Pro Tips:

    • Routine Impeller Vinegar Baths. Every 30 to 60 days, remove the front intake cover and slide out the magnetic impeller assembly. Soaking the rotor in warm white vinegar removes calcium crust and organic debris, preserving peak 211 GPH flow velocity.
    • Maintain Chamber Water Depth. Ensure the water level in the rear return compartment remains above the top of the pump housing at all times. Auto top-off (ATO) units are highly recommended for nano tanks to prevent return pumps from running dry due to surface evaporation.
