Small Pellet Marine Fish Food for Herbivorous and Omnivorous Reef Fish

The Dymax Marine Superior Pellet Food (60g) is a 1.6mm highly digestible pellet designed for herbivorous and omnivorous marine fish in reef and fish-only systems. At 40% protein, it delivers a nutrition-forward diet built around a blend of marine proteins and plant-based color enhancers, including spirulina, seaweed, algae, krill meal, and mussel meal. The small pellet size accommodates a wide range of reef fish species including tangs, angelfish, wrasses, clownfish, and other community inhabitants that are common in marine hobbyist tanks.

The 60g container is the smallest available size in the Marine Superior line. It is appropriate for small reef tanks with light stocking, or for hobbyists introducing the pellet to their fish for the first time. Garlic is included in the formula specifically to attract finicky eaters that are resistant to accepting a prepared pellet diet. High digestibility reduces the amount of uneaten or incompletely processed food that breaks down in the water column, which helps keep nitrate and phosphate levels in check — an especially relevant benefit in reef systems where coral health is sensitive to nutrient accumulation.

Manufactured under strict quality control, this food contains no artificial colors or preservatives.

Key Features:

  • 1.6mm small pellet sized for a wide variety of small to medium marine reef fish species
  • 40% protein content supports healthy muscle development and long-term fish health
  • Contains marine algae to support the dietary needs of herbivorous and omnivorous species
  • Spirulina, seaweed, and astaxanthin included for natural color enhancement
  • Krill meal and mussel meal provide marine-sourced proteins and palatability
  • Garlic included to attract finicky or recently imported fish that resist prepared foods
  • β-Glucan included to support immune system function against bacteria and parasites
  • Bacillus Subtilis (probiotic) supports digestive health and reduces waste output
  • Highly digestible formula reduces waste production and helps maintain water quality
  • No artificial colors, preservatives, or harmful additives; manufactured under strict quality control
  • 60g / 180ml container suited for small tanks or trial use

Ideal For:

  • Small reef tanks and fish-only saltwater systems with light stocking that do not go through large quantities of food before it loses freshness
  • Marine hobbyists switching their fish from live or frozen foods to a prepared pellet diet, using the garlic-enhanced formula to encourage acceptance
  • Retailers stocking an accessible entry-level size that lets first-time marine hobbyists try Dymax Marine Superior without committing to a larger container

While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you experience any issues with your food purchase shortly after receiving it, such as concerns about freshness, packaging integrity, or product quality, please contact us at [email protected]. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.

Instructions:

  1. Feed once to twice daily in small amounts. Only add what your fish will consume within two to three minutes.
  2. Optionally, soak the pellets in a small amount of tank water for 30 seconds before adding to the tank to soften them and reduce rejection by finicky fish.
  3. Observe the tank during feeding and remove any uneaten pellets after three to five minutes using a fine net or turkey baster.
  4. Store the container in a cool, dry location with the lid tightly sealed between feedings.
  5. For fish being introduced to pellets for the first time, offer a small amount alongside a familiar food and gradually increase the proportion of pellets over two to four weeks.
