    • Industrial Magnetic Isolation Mount: Heavy-duty, water-sealed rare-earth magnetic backing fully eliminates the need to drill structural sump walls or trust slipping suction cups.
    • Fail-Safe Pressure Mechanical Stop: Automatically seals tight and halts incoming fluid movement the moment rising water lifts the float arm to build physical line backpressure.
    • Universal 1/4-Inch Plumbing Match: Outfitted with standard 1/4-inch push-fit connections (1/4in) to directly splice into standard RO/DI poly-tubing lines.
    • Integrated Tubing Retainer Guide: Arrives with an adjustable universal tubing retainer track to guide supply lines neatly over the sump trim without pinching.
    • 100% Non-Corrosive Reef-Safe Build: Constructed using high-grade, food-safe polymers and specialized sealing joints that will not corrode or leach compounds into marine reef water.
    • Micro-Adjustable Level Control: Clean slip-and-slide magnetic tracking allows you to adjust the automatic shut-off water line height step-by-step in seconds.

IceCap Magnet Mount Float Valve (IC-FS003M)

The IceCap Magnet Mount Float Valve (SKU: IC-FS003M) is an authentic, safety-driven water management accessory distributed by CoralVue to provide a bulletproof mechanical layer of redundancy in modern freshwater sumps and marine reef filtration systems. Automated top-off (ATO) setups and direct-line reverse osmosis feeds are incredibly convenient, but they represent a common source of catastrophic home water damage. Electronic optical eyes, float switches, and smart controllers can occasionally fail due to salt creep, wandering snails blocking a sensor prism, or temporary software glitches. If an ATO pump gets stuck running constantly, it can rapidly dilute your system's salinity and flood your living space. The IC-FS003M steps in to provide a physical, non-electric safety barrier that forces the incoming water line to shut off completely.

This smart kit completely bypasses the frustration of traditional reservoir plumbing parts that require you to drill permanent holes into brittle glass or structural acrylic baffles. Backed by high-strength, water-insulated rare-earth magnets, the heavy-duty acrylic bracket clamps securely across aquarium wall boundaries up to 1/2-inch (1/2in) thick. When the water level rises to your pre-set safety limit, it pushes the buoyant polymer float arm upward, mechanically locking the internal valve orifice closed. This halts incoming water by forcing municipal or pump line backpressure to stall the flow. Complete with a universal over-the-rim tubing retainer to prevent line whipping and a length of flexible poly-tubing, this kit is an essential insurance policy for any high-performance water room setup.

    Key Features

    • Adds Critical System Redundancy: Provides an unconditional, completely non-electric mechanical stop that safeguards your system even during complete household power grid failures.

    • Tool-Free Elevation Adjustments: Simply slide the internal wet-side magnetic bracket up or down your sump panel to instantly change your high-water safety cutoff marker.

    • Anti-Clog Pivot Geometry: High-clearance hinge paths help prevent mineral scaling and biological film from locking the float arm, ensuring smooth, predictable travel.

    • (Note: This premium safety kit includes the wet-side magnetic bracket with integrated float valve assembly, external dry-side magnet pad, universal over-rim tubing retainer guide, and 1/4" feed poly-tubing lines).

    1. Unbox your IC-FS003M safety kit. Separate the wet-side float assembly bracket from the external dry-side magnet. Warning: Keep the two powerful magnets safely apart during unboxing to avoid sharp finger pinches.
    2. Thoroughly scrape and clean the interior and exterior surface of your sump glass or acrylic baffle where you want to place the valve to clear away any abrasive salt creep or fine sand grit.
    3. Push your incoming 1/4-inch RO/DI top-off feed line firmly into the quick-connect port on the float valve head until it bottoms out, then give it a gentle tug backward to verify the internal metal teeth have gripped the tubing.
    4. Mount the universal tubing retainer clip over the upper rim of your sump wall, routing the poly-tubing down through its channel tracks to ensure the line runs straight without kink restrictions.
    5. Place the wet-side float frame against the inside glass just above your standard optical sensor level line. Guide the external dry magnet into position from the outside until the magnets couple securely. Slide the magnets together slowly to protect your tank panels.
    6. Test the physical alignment by pushing the float arm up manually to ensure it travels smoothly through its complete pivot arc without rubbing against neighboring filter socks, skimmer bodies, or sump dividers.

    Pro Tips:
    • Position the Valve Exactly 0.5 Inches Above Your Electronic ATO Target Sensor. To prevent your mechanical float valve from fighting against your electronic top-off controller during normal operation, slide the magnetic bracket so the float arm hangs roughly 1/2-inch higher than your main electronic water level sensor. This keeps the float valve completely open and stress-free during standard, daily top-offs. If your electronic sensor ever fails or slips, the water line will rise just a fraction of an inch before lifting this backup float, sealing the system shut before an overflow can occur.
    • Slide the External Magnet Onto the Sump Glass Rather Than Snapping It On Directly. Rare-earth aquarium magnets possess incredibly powerful physical attraction forces. When bringing the external dry-side magnet toward the wet-side bracket, never snap it straight against the glass. Doing so can cause a sharp impact that can scratch your acrylic or crack a glass panel. Instead, place the dry magnet far to the side or higher up on the glass, and slide it slowly toward the wet-side bracket until they connect gently.
    • Perform a Quick Mechanical Pivot Test and Hinge Flush During Monthly Filter Changes. While this valve is constructed using premium, non-corrosive plastics, salt spray and splashing water inside an under-cabinet sump can slowly form crusty salt creep along the pivoting hinge pin. Every month when you pull your filter socks or clear out your skimmer cup, reach down and gently lift the float arm up and down a few times. Giving the pivot joint a quick splash of fresh RO water instantly dissolves any mineral buildup, ensuring the valve remains perfectly responsive and ready to save your floors in an emergency.
