IceCap Medium AIO Filter Sock (38G / 45G / 60G)
Maintaining crystal-clear water and low dissolved organic levels in All-In-One (AIO) marine and freshwater aquariums requires robust first-stage mechanical filtration. The IceCap Medium AIO Filter Sock (SKU: IC-AIO-FSM) is the official OEM replacement filter sock designed specifically for IceCap 38G, 45G, and 60G AIO Aquariums. Positioned directly beneath the surface overflow weir, it captures suspended particulate matter before water passes to secondary biological media, skimmers, or return pumps.
Built with a precision-molded rigid collar, this medium filter sock fits snugly into the rear filtration chamber drop-in bracket. Its durable nylon mesh construction effectively traps detritus while allowing high water flow-through, preventing premature overflow while holding fine particles. Regular washing and swapping of filter socks helps maintain low nitrate and phosphate levels by removing waste before it breaks down into the water column.
Ideal Application Scenarios
IceCap 38G, 45G & 60G AIO Aquariums: Direct factory-fit replacement for routine maintenance swapping or replacing worn filter socks.
Particulate Polishing: Captures free-floating debris after glass scraping, substrate stirring, or heavy fish feeding sessions.

While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.
Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Turn off or pause your AIO return pump to lower water levels in the rear filtration chamber.
Lift the dirty filter sock out of the rear drop-in chamber bracket.
Rinse the new IC-AIO-FSM filter sock thoroughly with fresh reverse osmosis (RO) or tap water to remove any manufacturing dust.
Slide the rigid collar of the new filter sock into the rear chamber mounting bracket until flush.
Resume return pump operation and verify water flows smoothly through the center of the filter sock without spilling over the sides.
Pro Tips:
- Rotate Two or Three Socks for Easy Cleaning. Keep multiple filter socks on hand. When one sock becomes clogged with detritus, swap in a clean dry one immediately and soak the dirty sock in a bucket of water with a splash of unscented household bleach to dissolve organic buildup.
- Rinse thoroughly After Bleach Soaking. Always rinse bleached filter socks thoroughly in fresh tap water and soak them in a bucket of water with double-dose dechlorinator (such as Seachem Prime) until completely dry before placing them back into your aquarium system.
