Built to integrate seamlessly onto the top borders of mini and standard CoralVue Aquarium Controller Boards, it instantly introduces a clean, high-tech center stage look.
Crafted out of 1/2” fire-rated expanded PVC, the structural frame mimics the working ease of traditional plywood while providing modern environmental benefits. It is 100% water-resistant, completely inert, and entirely non-conductive, guaranteeing that high-humidity sump room atmospheres or accidental water splashes will never rot the frame or cause electrical short-circuiting hazards. The kit comes fully packed with a dedicated multi-function remote control, enabling you to modify color wavelengths, scale intensity back to act as a subtle night light, or cycle through advanced transition modes like smooth fading and active strobing.

CoralVue Equipment Ecosystems: Configured to slip directly onto the standard CoralVue Aquarium Controller Board Wire Management System and the Mini Controller Board Wire Management System.
Controller Board Mounting
To mount the LED sign to CoralVue Controller Board simple screw in the 4 included special screws in the predrilled holes at the top of the Controller Board. Line the holes on the back of the LED light to the heads of the four installed screws, insert and and slide down the sign to lock in place.
The Reef Octopus Logo Sign is Safe and Built to Last
The sign is built using ½” expanded PVC. This lightweight but very durable material can be easily cut, sanded, drilled, or screwed just like plywood to make mounting all equipment super easy. The cabinet is made with fire-rated material that is not only inert but will never rot. It can be painted and worked on, just like wood! The cabinet is 100% water-resistant and non-conductive for peace of mind and longevity.
Note: The controller board and legs are not included with LED Sign.

Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Disconnect all electronic components from your controller board before mounting new hardware.
- Locate the four pre-drilled pilot holes situated along the upper header section of your standard or mini CoralVue controller board.
- Take the 4 included specialized board screws and thread them into the pre-drilled holes, leaving the screw heads slightly proud of the surface.
- Align the four keyhole indexing slots on the back panel of the Reef Octopus LED sign with the extended screw heads.
- Press the sign flat against the board, then gently slide the banner downward to firmly lock the mounting slots onto the screw heads.
- Route the power cable through your board's wire management channel, plug it into the inline controller and power supply, and use the remote to select your lighting profile.
Pro Tips:
- Utilize Subtle Dimming for Low-Stress Night Modes. While maximizing the RGB brightness makes your controller board pop during daylight hours, running deep blues or vibrant reds at 100% intensity in a dark room can bleed light into your display tank. Use the included remote to dim the sign down to its lowest power step at night. This turns the sign into a practical, low-lux ambient utility light under your cabinet, allowing you to check equipment status without breaking your fish's natural circadian rhythm or light-stressing sensitive corals.
- Leave Space in Your Cable Runs for the Inline Receiver. The remote control communicates with a small inline control module located between the sign's lead wire and the primary power supply brick. When feeding the wires through your board's back channels, do not bunch or pinch this receiver module tightly behind heavy power bricks or controllers. Keeping the receiver module somewhat accessible ensures optimal signal reception from the handheld remote control.
- Prep with a Microfiber Towel Before Applying Tape. If you choose to use the auxiliary heavy-duty mounting tape instead of the sliding screw tracks to secure the sign to a custom wood cabinet pane, clean both surfaces thoroughly first. Wipe down the rear of the PVC sign and the mounting wall with a dash of isopropyl alcohol to strip off fine skin oils, salt film, or sawdust residue. Allowing the surface to dry completely ensures the mounting tape develops a permanent, sag-free bond.
