The Dymax Stainless Steel Lily Pipe Set (12/16mm) is a matched inflow and outflow pipe set for external canister filters running 12mm inner diameter / 16mm outer diameter tubing. It replaces standard plastic inflow and outflow fittings with a surgical-grade stainless steel alternative that resists rust, surface scratches, calcium buildup, and the chemical stress of both acidic and alkaline water — conditions that plastic fittings and glass lily pipes are more vulnerable to over time.
The outflow lily pipe features the flared, curved bell shape that defines the lily pipe design. When positioned just at or slightly below the water surface, the outflow creates a circular surface current that promotes gas exchange, helps distribute CO2 throughout the water column, and provides the gentle, even surface agitation that planted tanks need without excessive turbulence that would drive CO2 out of solution too quickly. The inflow pipe draws water from the lower part of the aquarium into the canister filter for mechanical and biological processing. The set includes hose clips for a secure, vibration-free connection at both ends.

- Position the outflow just at or slightly below the water surface. The lily pipe outflow works best when the flared bell sits close to the waterline — deep enough that the surface is not broken with splashing (which drives CO2 out of the tank) but shallow enough to create a visible circular surface ripple. A few millimeters of adjustment makes a meaningful difference in both CO2 retention and surface agitation quality.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Instructions:
- Confirm your canister filter uses 12mm inner diameter / 16mm outer diameter tubing before installing.
- Connect the outflow lily pipe to the return (output) port of the canister filter using the included hose clips. Position the flared bell end at or just below the water surface, angled to create a circular surface current.
- Connect the inflow pipe to the intake (input) port of the canister filter using the included hose clips. Position the intake opening in the lower third of the aquarium, away from the substrate.
- Prime and start the canister filter per the filter manufacturer's instructions.
- Adjust outflow position to achieve a visible but gentle surface ripple without splashing.
Maintenance: Clean the lily pipes every four to six weeks or when flow is visibly reduced. Soak in a solution of dilute citric acid and water to dissolve calcium deposits, then rinse thoroughly before reinstalling.
