The IceCap Algae Scrubber 200 Mesh Sheet (SKU: IP-AGS-200MESH) is the official OEM replacement growth screen designed specifically for the Medium IceCap AGS-200 PRO Algae Turf Scrubber (In-Sump & External models). Smooth or worn plastics allow water velocity to sweep young algae spores off the screen, drastically reducing bio-filtration performance.
This factory screen features a specialized cross-hatch grid pattern with micro-grooves that provide maximum surface area for filamentous green hair algae and turf species to attach. As water cascades down both sides under intense LED illumination, algae flourishes on the screen, extracting dissolved nutrients directly from your system water. Its rigid, non-toxic plastic construction withstands years of scraping, washing, and continuous saltwater exposure.
Maintenance & Replacement Guidelines
Growth screens should be harvested and scraped every 7 to 14 days to remove mature algae and maintain active nutrient uptake. If your mesh sheet becomes brittle, clogged with calcified deposits, or damaged after prolonged scraping, replacing it restores full seeding capability.

Installation & Harvesting Guidelines:
Turn off the feed pump supplying water to your IceCap AGS-200 PRO Turf Scrubber.
Remove the top cover of the scrubber body and slide the spray bar pipe out of the upper housing.
Unclip or slide the old IP-AGS-200MESH screen out of the spray bar retention slot.
Insert the new mesh sheet into the spray bar slot, ensuring it hangs evenly down the center of the illuminated growth chamber.
Reinstall the spray bar and top cover, turn the feed pump back on, and resume your normal 12-hour photoperiod.
Pro Tips:
Leave a Small Seeding Base During Scraping. When harvesting algae during weekly maintenance, do not scrape the plastic screen completely clean down to bare plastic. Leaving a thin layer of rooted algae fibers allows the screen to seed and regrow dense turf coverage much faster.
Rinse in Freshwater Between Harvests. If the mesh screen develops calcium carbonate crust or detritus accumulation over time, soak it in a warm freshwater or mild citric acid bath for 15 minutes and scrub gently with a soft nylon brush before reinstalling.
