The Reef Octopus Classic 110-S Collection Cup is the dedicated reservoir for capturing and containing the concentrated organic waste removed by your protein skimmer. This genuine replacement cup is manufactured to the exact specifications of the Classic 110-S (CLSC-110S) "Super Space Saver" model, ensuring a perfect friction-fit seal that maintains the internal air pressure required for stable foam production.
Constructed from heavy-duty cast acrylic, this cup offers superior durability and resistance to the yellowing or brittleness that can occur with long-term saltwater exposure. The cup includes a pre-installed drain port, allowing hobbyists to connect a drain line directly to a waste collector for extended maintenance intervals. Please note that this is the replacement cup body only; the collection cup lid is not included and must be transferred from your existing unit or purchased separately.

Power off the skimmer pump.
Carefully lift the old collection cup off the skimmer body.
Remove your existing lid and transfer it to the new replacement cup.
Wipe the neck of the skimmer body with a damp cloth to remove any salt creep or debris.
Press the new Classic 110-S cup firmly onto the skimmer body until it is fully seated.
Ensure the drain plug is secure (if not using an external collector) and restart the pump.
Pro Tips:
Transfer your lid carefully.
Since this replacement does not include a lid, ensure your existing lid is free of cracks. A missing or broken lid can significantly increase skimmer noise and allow micro-bubbles to spray out of the cup.
Lubricate the neck O-ring. For a smoother fit and easier removal during cleaning, apply a very thin layer of aquarium-safe silicone lubricant to the O-ring or the friction-fit surface of the cup neck. This prevents the acrylic from "sticking" over time.
Clean the neck daily. A thin layer of "gunk" inside the neck of the collection cup acts as a lubricant for bubbles, allowing them to slide into the cup easily. However, a thick layer will kill the foam head. Wipe the internal neck every few days to keep your 110-S running at peak efficiency.
