- 4-Channel Streamlined Organization: Keeps your cabinet space clean by holding up to four automated fluid lines simultaneously, preventing twisted lines or messy crossover.
- Dual-Sealed Magnetic Clamping: High-strength internal and external magnets are hermetically sealed inside an acrylic casing to protect them against saltwater corrosion and rust.
- Universal 1/4-Inch Tube Fit: Precision-milled ports accept standard 1/4" OD (1/4in) flexible silicone, vinyl, or rigid polyethylene RO/DI dosing tubes.
- Safe 1/2-Inch Glass Rating: Engineered with a strong magnetic field that locks firmly onto sump glass or acrylic dividers up to 1/2-inch thick without sliding.
- Corrosion-Proof Acrylic Build: Crafted out of high-gloss, premium cell-cast acrylic panels that will never warp, cloud, or leach chemical toxins into your reef.
- Nylon Locking Thumb Screws: Outfitted with non-conductive, hand-tightened plastic screws to pinch different tubing walls firmly into place without pinching off fluid flow.

IceCap 4-Port Magnetic Tubing Holder — Dosing Mount (IC-MTH-4)
The IceCap 4-Port Magnetic Tubing Holder (SKU: IC-MTH-4) is an authentic, studio-grade sump organization accessory distributed by CoralVue to bring absolute structural security and a professional presentation to your automated liquid dosing lines. Multi-stage automated dosing systems—delivering elements like calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, and specialized trace elements or carbon sources—are essential for maintaining a stable marine reef or freshwater ecosystem. However, leaving multiple loose tubing lines dangling over your sump is a significant hazard. Shifting cords or high-velocity water currents can easily displace loose lines, causing them to drip outside your sump, tangle into equipment impellers, or siphon tank water backward. The IC-MTH-4 holds your lines firmly over the water column to eliminate these risks.
Constructed from heavy-wall, crystal-clear cell-cast acrylic, this 4-port bracket is built to withstand continuous exposure inside humid, high-salinity marine stands. Traditional tubing clips rely on cheap rubber suction cups that harden, collect organic slime, and slide out of position within months. The IceCap series bypasses this flaw completely by using a specialized Dual-Sealed Magnetic Mount. Both the internal wet-side bracket and the dry-side external backing block feature powerful magnets completely encased in acrylic sheets to prevent rust. Non-conductive nylon thumbscrews line all four channels, allowing you to secure your lines without compressing or restricting the fluid path.
Key Features
Prevents Back-Siphoning Hazards: Holds your automated dosing lines securely above the sump waterline, breaking any potential back-siphon suction path.
Universal Fluid Line Adaptation: Form-milled ports easily accept standard 1/4-inch outer diameter (1/4in) flexible silicone, vinyl, or rigid polyethylene RO/DI lines.
Zero-Tool Adjustable Mounting: Simply slide the magnetic assembly along your glass or acrylic baffle to easily reposition your dosing drop zone during cleaning.
(Note: This retail package includes (1) 4-port wet-side acrylic tubing holder with pre-installed nylon thumbscrews and (1) dry-side magnetic backing pad. Dosing pumps, tubing lines, and liquid supplements are sold under separate product categories).

- Unbox all parts. Check the smooth acrylic surfaces of both the wet-side holder and dry-side magnetic plate to confirm they are clean and free of transit micro-dust.
- Wipe down the interior and exterior walls of your filtration sump's targeted baffle panel to remove any existing slime, algae, or sand that could cause glass scratches.
- Position the clear 4-port acrylic bracket vertically above your sump water level against the inside glass wall.
- Slide, Do Not Snap: Bring the external magnetic block to the dry side of the glass several inches away from the internal bracket. Slowly slide the dry magnet across the glass until it aligns with the internal plate. Warning: High-strength magnets can crush fingers or shatter glass if snapped directly together onto a panel.
- Feed your flexible dosing lines down through the top of the milled port holes, leaving the tips suspended roughly 1 to 2 inches above your highest operational sump waterline.
- Hand-tighten the white nylon thumbscrews clockwise until they lightly grip the tubing walls. Do not overtighten; you only need light friction to keep the tubes from sliding down.
Pro Tips:
- Never Submerge the Tips of Your Dosing Tubes Beneath Sump Water. Always position your IC-MTH-4 high enough on your sump wall so that the tips of the dosing lines hang completely free in the air. If you submerge the tips below the waterline, highly concentrated chemical supplements (such as high-pH calcium or alkalinity fluids) will mix with high-salinity marine water right inside the mouth of the tube. This triggers localized precipitation that will create a rock-hard calcium plug, blocking your dosing line and straining your peristaltic pump motor.
- Avoid Placing Your Dosing Lines Directly Over Metal Equipment. When choosing an installation spot for your 4-port tubing holder, make sure the lines drop into a high-flow, clear sump area. Never position the drops directly over electronic return pumps, internal skimmer bodies, or titanium aquarium heaters. Highly concentrated alkalinity or calcium drops falling directly onto warm metal or plastic equipment casings can cause rapid scale accumulation, reducing the performance and operational lifespan of your primary hardware.
- Perform a Quick Monthly Snip on the Ends of Flexible Silicone Lines. Over months of continuous micro-dosing, creeping moisture or salt spray near the water surface can form a tiny bit of salt crusting right at the tip of your dosing lines. During your monthly equipment checks, simply loosen the nylon thumbscrews, slide the tubing down a fraction of an inch, and use clean scissors to make a fresh, square cut across the bottom 1/4-inch of the line. This guarantees zero flow resistance for your dosing schedule.
