IceCap Reverse Osmosis Replacement Power Supply
Operating reverse osmosis booster pumps requires sustained, uninterrupted electrical power to build line pressure across dense TFC membrane sheets. The IceCap Reverse Osmosis Power Supply (SKU: IC-RI-PS01 / IP-RI-PS01) is the official OEM replacement 24V DC power adapter engineered specifically for IceCap Smart RO/DI Systems and IceCap Booster Pump assemblies.
Reverse osmosis booster pumps are high-torque motors that face varying electrical loads as water pressure shifts between low municipal feed rates and high backpressure shutoff points. Underpowered or unshielded generic transformers can drop voltage under heavy load, causing pump cavitation, overheating, or failure to trigger high-pressure cutoff switches. The IC-RI-PS01 provides regulated 24V DC power, ensuring the pump motor maintains the exact revolutions per minute needed to hit 65 to 85+ PSI operating pressure. Encased in a durable, heat-dissipating housing, it is built to handle prolonged multi-hour reservoir filling cycles.
Ideal Replacement Scenario
If your IceCap booster pump fails to spin, hums weakly without building membrane pressure, resets intermittently under load, or if the original transformer was damaged by moisture exposure or electrical line surges, installing an authentic IC-RI-PS01 restores reliable booster automation.

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Unplug the existing damaged power supply from the wall outlet and disconnect the cold-water feed to the RO system.
Trace the power cord to the booster pump wire harness and unplug the inline DC electrical connector.
Inspect the wire harness connection ports to verify the contacts are clean, dry, and free of corrosion.
Connect the output lead of the new IC-RI-PS01 firmly into the booster pump / pressure switch harness until fully seated.
Form a downward drip loop with the power cable below the wall outlet level.
Plug the transformer into a GFCI-protected AC wall outlet or surge protector.
Turn on the feedwater supply and verify that the booster pump engages smoothly, raising system pressure on the pressure gauge to 65–85+ PSI.
Pro Tips:
- Mount Elevated and Away from Filter Housings. RO/DI systems operate in high-humidity laundry rooms, basements, or under-sink spaces where filter cartridge changes can cause accidental splashes. Always mount the IC-RI-PS01 power brick high on a wall or mounting board, well above the filter canister sumps and plumbing connections, to shield it from water contact.
- Always Connect to a GFCI Receptacle. Because reverse osmosis booster systems pair high line water pressure with 120V/240V AC power supplies, always plug the power adapter into a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) outlet. This ensures immediate power cutoff if accidental water contact or splashing ever reaches the electrical connections.
