CoralVue Concentrated Alkalinity (dKH) Test Reagent, 4L
SKU: CV-ALK-RGNT-4L
- The CoralVue Alkalinity Testing Machine Concentrated Reagent is a concentrated alkalinity reagent for the HYDROS iV Tester, Focustronic Alkatronic, and Kamoer KH Carer.
- It requires dilution with RO/DI water before use; mixing ratios differ by machine — 1:4 for the HYDROS iV and Alkatronic, 1:8 for the Kamoer KH Carer.
- Each 4L bottle yields 20,000mL — reducing cost per test compared to pre-mixed reagents.

Concentrated Alkalinity Reagent for Automated Alkalinity Testing Machines
Key Features:
- Concentrated alkalinity reagent for the HYDROS iV Tester, Focustronic Alkatronic, and Kamoer KH Carer
- Mix 1 part concentrate to 4 parts RO/DI water for HYDROS iV and Alkatronic
- Mix 1 part concentrate to 8 parts RO/DI water for Kamoer KH Carer
- 4L concentrate yields 20,000mL of working solution at 1:4 ratio
- Cost-effective alternative to pre-mixed alkalinity reagents; lower cost per test and per mL of working solution
- MSDS sheet available for download
- Non-returnable once shipped
Ideal For:
- HYDROS iV Tester, Focustronic Alkatronic, and Kamoer KH Carer users who want a cost-effective concentrated reagent supply rather than a pre-mixed solution
- Hobbyists running high-frequency automated alkalinity testing who go through reagent quickly and want the lowest cost per test
- Anyone stocking up on reagent with the 4L size to reduce reorder frequency
Pro Tips:
- Use the correct mixing ratio for your specific machine — do not guess. The HYDROS iV and Alkatronic use 1 part concentrate to 4 parts RO/DI. The Kamoer KH Carer uses 1 part concentrate to 8 parts RO/DI. Using the wrong ratio will cause your machine to read alkalinity inaccurately. If you are unsure which machine you have, check the label or your order history before mixing.
- Always use RO/DI water for dilution, not tap water. Tap water contains chlorine, chloramine, and dissolved minerals that can interfere with alkalinity reagent chemistry and produce unreliable readings. Use only 0 TDS RO/DI water for dilution.
- Mix only what you need for a reasonable period. While the concentrate has a long shelf life, mixed working solution should be used within a reasonable timeframe. Mix in quantities appropriate for your testing frequency to avoid holding large volumes of diluted reagent for extended periods.
- Label your mixed solution container clearly. Once diluted, the working solution looks identical regardless of ratio. Mark the container with the ratio used and the date mixed to avoid confusion, especially if you have multiple machines or dilute in bulk.
- Retain the Material Safety Data Sheet before handling. The MSDS provides safety information for handling, storage, and spill response. The MSDS sheet is available for download in the documents tab
