- Determine the necessary spacing for your carriers. For 110mm pipe, we recommend a carrier every 3–4 feet on horizontal runs to prevent sagging.
- Mark the mounting holes on your wall or rack, ensuring they are perfectly level.
- Secure the carrier to the surface using appropriate stainless steel hardware (not included).
- Snap or slide the 110mm metric pipe into the cradle of the carrier.
- If equipped with a locking strap or bolt, secure it over the pipe to prevent movement.
- Ensure the pipe is supported at every change of direction (elbows) and near heavy valves or equipment.
Pro Tips:
- Metric vs. Standard 4-Inch. A 110mm pipe carrier is designed specifically for 110mm OD metric pipe (approx. 4.33 inches). It will not fit standard US 4-inch pipe, which has a 4.5-inch OD. Always confirm your pipe diameter before mounting your brackets.
- Vibration Isolation. In systems with high-pressure commercial pumps, minor vibrations can transfer into the building structure. For maximum noise reduction, you can place a thin strip of EPDM rubber or neoprene between the pipe and the carrier to act as a vibration isolator.
- Stainless Hardware is Key. While the carrier itself is non-corrosive, always use Grade 316 Stainless Steel screws or bolts to mount the carrier to your wall or rack. Standard galvanized or zinc-plated hardware will rust quickly in a marine filtration environment.
