Pro Tips:

• Install it in the correct orientation. A springless flapper relies on gravity and back-pressure to close. Mount it so the natural flow direction is horizontal or slightly upward. A vertical downward installation may not close reliably when flow stops.
• Inspect it regularly on dosing lines. Calcium and salt creep can coat the flap over time and prevent a full seal. Pull the valve out every few months, rinse it with fresh RO water, and check that the flap moves freely.
• Size to your pipe, not your pump. Use the same diameter as the rest of your plumbing run. Reducing down to a smaller valve adds unnecessary restriction and can create a pressure choke point, especially on return lines.
