Large-Supply Spirulina Flake for Active Freshwater and Marine Fish Feeding

The Dymax Spirulina Advance Flakes (150g) is the large regular-supply container in the Spirulina Advance Flakes range, suited for heavily stocked tanks, larger aquariums feeding multiple times daily, hobbyists running more than one tank on the same flake food, or retail shops stocking a full-size container for in-store display. The formula is unchanged from the 20g and 50g: spirulina first, 40% protein from fish meal, krill meal, and mussel meal, with astaxanthin for carotenoid-based color support across red, blue, and yellow pigmentation, and garlic extract for palatability.

At 150g, the per-gram cost is lower than the 20g or 50g, making it the most economical option for hobbyists who have already confirmed their fish accept and thrive on the Spirulina Advance Flake formula and are ready to stock a supply that lasts well beyond a single month. The 1200ml container volume is practical for the daily portion sizes of a larger community or reef system without the true bulk footprint of the 500g.

    Key Features:

    • Spirulina-first flake food for freshwater and marine fish in a large 150g supply
    • Three-channel color enhancement targeting red, blue, and yellow pigmentation
    • 40% protein from fish meal, krill meal, and mussel meal
    • Astaxanthin for natural carotenoid-based color support; garlic extract for palatability
    • Seaweed and algae provide plant-based dietary balance within the formula
    • β-Glucan immune support; Bacillus Subtilis probiotic for digestive efficiency
    • Lowest per-gram cost among the 20g, 50g, and 150g sizes for active daily feeders
    • Flake format serves surface and mid-column feeders across freshwater and marine environments
    • Easily digestible; minimal waste and reduced water quality impact
    • No artificial colors, preservatives, or harmful additives

    Ideal For:

    • Larger freshwater community tanks of 30 gallons or more running a daily flake food schedule across multiple species
    • Multi-tank freshwater or marine hobbyists who want a single large container of Spirulina Advance Flakes to supply several tanks simultaneously
    • Retail shops stocking the full Dymax Spirulina Advance Flakes size range for in-store display and sell-through

    Pro Tips:

    • Decant a one to two week supply into a smaller airtight container for daily access. Opening a 150g container multiple times daily exposes the full supply to humidity. Keeping a working portion in a smaller secondary container and resealing the main 150g between refills significantly extends the usable shelf life of the larger supply.
    • Track how long the 150g lasts against your tank size and stocking level. A correctly portioned community tank of 30 gallons should go through a 150g container over eight to twelve weeks. If the container empties faster, portions are too large; if it is still half full after three months, consider dropping to the 50g to minimize freshness risk after opening.
    • Use the 150g as your daily driver and the 50g as your rotation food. Hobbyists who run a multi-food rotation often find that keeping one food in a large primary supply and others in smaller containers keeps the feeding program organized and reduces waste from partially opened containers of each size.

While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you experience any issues with your food purchase shortly after receiving it, such as concerns about freshness, packaging integrity, or product quality, please contact us at [email protected]. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.

    Instructions:

    1. Feed two to three times daily in small amounts. Only offer what fish will consume within two to three minutes.
    2. For nano fish or juveniles, crush the flake lightly between fingers before adding to reduce flake size.
    3. Drop flakes directly onto the water surface. The flakes will float initially and sink slowly as they absorb water, serving both surface and mid-column feeders.
    4. Remove any uneaten flake after three minutes using a fine net to prevent decomposition and water quality impact.
    5. Store the container sealed tightly in a cool, dry location away from direct light and humidity.
