Professional 500g Masstick in Aluminum Packaging for Commercial and Institutional Use
Masstick contains 500 grams of Masstick powder — professional protective packaging that distinguishes this format from the transparent zip-lock bags used in the consumer formats. The formula, mixing method, application technique, and freeze storage option are identical across every Masstick format. What changes at the Prof 500g level is scale and format: this size delivers professional-grade Masstick in a single aluminum bag, making it the practical choice for retail fish stores using Masstick to feed display tanks, public aquariums maintaining collections of finicky marine species, and commercial aquaculture operations incorporating Masstick as a delivery vehicle for medications administered to fish in a professional care context.
The aluminum bag packaging offers enhanced protection against humidity and light compared to transparent zip-lock bags — advantages that matter when a single package will be opened repeatedly over an extended period of time. Each 500g bag is a substantial supply that, even at several preparation sessions per week, represents weeks to months of feeding for most operations.
Key Features:
- Same self-adhesive marine food formula — 500g in a professional aluminum bag
- Aluminum packaging for enhanced protection against humidity and light during extended use
- Professional-grade format sized for regular use without the bulk of the 1000g size
- Prepared paste can be frozen for up to five weeks after preparation
- All-natural marine-origin ingredients; no attractants, no artificial preservatives, no synthesis products
- Blendable with mollusc pulp, artemia, copepods, rotifers, and oral medications — critical feature for professional medication delivery
- For omnivorous marine fish and marine invertebrates; professionally indicated for finicky, sensitive, or medically managed species
Ideal For:
- Retail fish stores using Masstick to feed display tanks with notoriously difficult-to-feed marine species (mandarins, leopard wrasses, seahorses, pipefish) who want professional-grade supply.
- Public aquariums and commercial marine facilities maintaining fish collections that require consistent, reliable feeding with a food that stays in place for hours without dispersing into the water column
- Aquatic veterinary and professional fish health operations using Masstick as a delivery vehicle for orally-administered medications in a controlled, surface-fixed format that allows precise dosing without the medication dispersing into the system
Pro Tips:
- Once opened, the aluminum bag's protective advantage diminishes. Reseal the bag tightly after each use (fold and clip, or transfer remaining powder to an airtight container) to preserve humidity and light protection for the rest of the supply.
- Decant working portions into a small consumer container for daily session use. Do not bring the full 500g aluminum bag to the tank for each feeding. Measure out a weekly working supply into a small sealed container and refill from the main bag on a schedule, keeping the primary supply protected.
- For medication delivery, consult an aquatic veterinary professional for dosing and preparation protocols. The blendability of Masstick with oral medications is a documented professional feature, but medication preparation requires accurate dosing guidance from a qualified aquatic health professional. The Masstick format solves the delivery challenge; correct medication concentration is a separate clinical question.

Preparation:
- For the Prof 500g: use a kitchen scale for all measurements
- Prepare in batches appropriate to the operation's daily feeding volume
- Freeze prepared batches in daily portions and label with the preparation date; use within five weeks of preparation.
Optional additions (mix into the paste before use):
- Mollusk or crustacean pulp, fish eggs, artemia, mysids, copepods, rotifers
- Orally administered medicines (consult your veterinarian or aquatic health professional for dosing)
Application:
- Take a portion of prepared Masstick paste.
- Press it firmly onto a rock, coral skeleton, or aquarium glass — preferably in the lower third of the tank near where the target fish or invertebrate spends time.
- Allow fish and invertebrates to graze from the surface. Masstick will remain adhered for hours.
- Remove any uneaten portions after a few hours to avoid organic accumulation.
