CoralVue, Inc. and Reef Octopus hereby guarantee this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:
- Five (5) year warranty on pump body/housing
- Three (3) year warranty on Reef Octopus-branded controller
- One (1) year warranty on Power Supply, Impeller (and components), Rotor, Rear Bushing, and Gaskets
Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Verify the HY-10000S pump is securely attached to the skimmer body and the venturi intake is clear.
- Place the XP-8000 in your sump, ensuring a stable water depth of 10.5 inches.
- Open the output gate valve completely before powering on the pumps.
- Plug the pump into a GFCI-protected outlet.
- Gradually close the gate valve until the foam line reaches the base of the neck.
- Allow for a 3–4 week break-in period for the oversized acrylic body.
- Monitor the air silencer regularly to ensure it remains free of salt spray.
Pro Tips:
- Metric Plumbing Standards. The SRO XP-8000 utilizes a 63mm Metric output. For the most secure installation in large-scale sumps, use a 63mm Metric Union or Coupling to manage the high-volume discharge.
- Commercial Pump Care. The Bubble Blaster HY-10000S is a powerhouse, but in a 1,000-gallon system, calcium buildup can be significant. We recommend a full teardown and vinegar or citric acid soak of both pumps every 4 months to maintain peak air-draw.
- Automatic Neck Cleaning. Manually cleaning a skimmer of this size is a major task. To maintain maximum organic removal between cup cleanings, we highly recommend pairing this unit with an Automatic Neck Cleaner (ANC) to keep the inner neck walls free of sludge.
