The Reef Brite XHO-X360 Add-on Kit will increase an aquarium's light intensity, PAR, and color. This kit improves coverage and eliminates dead spots in your tank. You can control the add-on kit with the new Reef Brite Wireless Bluetooth LE controller (sold separately), which works with Apple® and Android™ devices.

Installation & Assembly Guidelines:
Power off and unplug your Kessil A360/A360X light fixture and allow it to cool completely.
Remove the Kessil fixture from its mounting arm or hanging hardware.
Attach the two RB-X-360 aluminum endplates to the ends of the dual 11.125-inch XHO light strips using the provided hardware, ensuring the LED lenses face downward.
Secure the central X-Series bracket to the top assembly between the two XHO strips.
Place the central bracket over the mounting point of your Kessil light, aligning the center pass-through bolt hole.
Reattach the Kessil fixture to your Kessil mounting arm or gooseneck, sandwiching the Reef Brite central bracket securely between the light and the arm mount.
Connect each XHO light strip lead to the outputs of the 2-way DC Y-splitter cable.
Connect the single input of the Y-cable to the inline dimmer, then attach the dimmer to the dedicated Reef Brite DC power supply.
Plug the power supply into an AC outlet, adjust the dimmer knob to your preferred output intensity, and verify full light coverage.
Pro Tips:
- Angle the XHO Strips Inward for Optimal Shadow Reduction. When assembling the endplates and bracket, slightly angle the two XHO strips inward toward the central column of the aquarium. Angling the light path ensures that the actinic beams cross directly beneath the Kessil’s central cone, illuminating the underside and lateral branches of dense acropora colonies without throwing stray light onto aquarium glass.
- Integrate with an Automation Controller for Standalone Moonlighting. Because the XHO strips have their own independent power supply and dimming circuit, you can power them via a separate smart plug or 0-10V controller port. Running the Reef Brite Actinic Blue strips for 30–60 minutes before the Kessil turns on in the morning and after it turns off at night creates a striking dawn, dusk, and nighttime fluorescence viewing period.
