    • Fauna Marin Professional Sea Salt is a 25kg reef salt mix that supplies key coral minerals.
    • It is made for coral breeders and reef keepers running modern filter and skimmer systems.
    • It holds calcium at 410 to 440 mg/l and alkalinity at 8.0 to 8.5 dKH, both in natural reef range.
    • Independent labs and Fauna Marin's own ICP lab test every batch, a step most salt brands skip.

Reef Salt Mix for Coral Breeders and Demanding Reef Tanks

Fauna Marin Professional Sea Salt, 200USG (25kg), is built for hobbyists who need steady, repeatable water chemistry. The blend supplies the full range of macro and trace elements corals use to grow, in ratios meant to match natural seawater as closely as possible, and it's ready to use in about 5 minutes after mixing.
This salt was developed alongside coral farmers, so it works well with skimmers, reactors, and other modern filtration gear rather than fighting against them. Every batch is made from pharmaceutically pure salts and checked both by independent labs and Fauna Marin's own in-house ICP lab, so tank parameters stay steady from one mix to the next.

    Key Features:

    • Full spectrum of macro and trace elements dosed for coral growth
    • Calcium 410-440 mg/l and magnesium 1,250-1,340 mg/l, in line with natural seawater
    • Alkalinity of 8.0-8.5 dKH and pH of 8.0-8.4 straight out of the mix
    • Pharmaceutically pure salt sources, not industrial or food-grade blends
    • Checked by independent labs and Fauna Marin's own ICP lab for consistent purity
    • Ready to use in about 5 minutes after mixing
    • Balanced mix designed to work with skimmers, reactors, and canister filters
    • 25kg bucket mixes to 200 US gallons of saltwater

    Ideal For:

    • Large reef systems (150+ gallons) with frequent or high-volume water change schedules
    • Coral farming operations and retail stores mixing saltwater on a recurring basis
    • Hobbyists with multiple tanks who want to reduce cost per gallon on a shared salt supply

    Pro Tips:

    • Mix a full day ahead when possible. The salt itself dissolves in about 5 minutes, but letting mixed water circulate for 24 hours with a heater and powerhead gives trace elements more time to fully stabilize before a water change.
    • Check salinity after mixing, not just after adding salt. Actual mixed values can drift depending on your water source and mixing container, so confirm the number with a refractometer or digital tester before dosing it into the tank.

    • Intended use: Saltwater aquariums only

    Chemical Composition (per mixed batch):

    • Magnesium: 1,250-1,340 mg/l
    • Calcium: 410-440 mg/l
    • Potassium: 380-400 mg/l
    • Sodium: 10,300-10,700 mg/l
    • Chloride: 19,100-19,800 mg/l
    • Sulphate: 2,650-2,750 mg/l
    • Alkalinity: 8.0-8.5 dKH
    • pH: 8.0-8.4
    • Strontium: 7.0-9.0 mg/l

    Instructions:

    1. Use RO/DI or purified water as your mixing base. Tap water can introduce contaminants that work against the salt's purity.
    2. Add the salt gradually to circulating water using a powerhead or pump, stirring until fully dissolved. The salt is ready to use in about 5 minutes.
    3. Let the mixed water circulate for several hours (overnight is best) with a heater running to match tank temperature.
    4. Check salinity with a refractometer or digital salinity tester before adding the water to your tank.
    5. Store unused salt in a sealed, dry container to prevent moisture from affecting the mix.

    Safety:

    • Keep out of reach of children.
    • Avoid eye contact; rinse thoroughly with water if the product gets into eyes.
    • Wash hands after handling.
    • Do not inhale or swallow. If swallowed, seek medical advice and show the doctor the label.
    • For use in saltwater aquariums only.
