IceCap 50 PRO Hang On Back Turf Scrubber Replacement Pump

Uninterrupted water delivery is vital for keeping turf algae screens saturated and actively absorbing nitrates and phosphates. The IceCap 50 PRO Hang On Back Turf Scrubber Replacement Pump (SKU: IC-AGS-50PRO-PUMP) is the official OEM feed pump engineered for the IceCap 50 PRO HOB Turf Scrubber. If the original feed pump becomes clogged, worn down, or damaged over years of continuous saltwater use, replacing it restores the exact flow rate required for optimal nutrient export.

Consuming just 6 Watts of power, this compact submersible pump generates a max flow rate of 105 GPH. It pushes water from the aquarium display up through the supply tube and into the top distribution spray bar, allowing water to cascade evenly down both sides of the illuminated algae screen. Its low-voltage DC design ensures whisper-quiet operation while preserving stable tank water temperatures.

    System Compatibility Note

This replacement pump is sized and calibrated specifically for the IceCap 50 PRO Hang-On-Back Turf Scrubber. For larger in-sump IceCap AGS PRO scrubbers (AGS-100, AGS-200, AGS-400), refer to the larger EVO series feed pumps.

    Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:

    1. Disconnect power to the 50 PRO turf scrubber system and unplug the old feed pump.

    2. Disconnect the flexible intake tubing from the barbed outlet nozzle of the old pump.

    3. Remove the worn pump from the aquarium display or rear filter chamber.

    4. Press the new IC-AGS-50PRO-PUMP onto the interior glass panel using the suction cup base.

    5. Push the feed tubing firmly onto the pump's barbed outlet fitting and plug the power cord into the 24V DC power supply adapter.

    Pro Tips:

    • Routine Impeller Cleaning. Every 30 to 60 days, remove the front volute cover and slide out the magnetic impeller. Cleaning off coralline algae, sand grains, or snail shells prevents impeller binding and maintains a steady 105 GPH water trickle over the growth screen.
    • Maintain Proper Water Level. Ensure the feed pump remains fully submerged inside the aquarium display or filtration chamber at all times. Running the pump dry can cause thermal stress and shorten the lifespan of the ceramic shaft assembly.
