    • The Marine Superior 560g is a 2.5mm medium pellet for larger-mouthed herbivorous and omnivorous marine fish.
    • It is sized for larger-bodied reef fish that cannot take in a small pellet efficiently during feeding.
    • Spirulina, krill, mussel, and astaxanthin work together to support coloration, immunity, and muscle development.
    • The 560g format supplies most reef systems for months, making it a practical bulk purchase for established tanks.

Medium Pellet Marine Fish Food for Larger Reef Fish

The Dymax Marine Superior Pellet Food (560g) uses a 2.5mm medium pellet sized for larger-bodied marine fish — angels, triggers, larger tangs, groupers, and other reef inhabitants that reject or cannot efficiently consume a 1.6mm pellet. It shares the same core formula as the 60g and 160g Marine Superior: 40% protein from spirulina, seaweed, algae, krill meal, mussel meal, and fish meal, with astaxanthin for natural color enhancement, garlic for palatability, and β-Glucan alongside Bacillus Subtilis for immune and digestive support.

The 2.5mm size matters at feeding time. Larger fish fed on small pellets tend to take multiple small bites, wasting more food than they consume and pushing uneaten particles into the water column. A properly sized pellet is consumed cleanly in one or two bites, which directly reduces the waste that drives nutrient accumulation in the system. The 560g volume provides a practical bulk supply, offering a lower per-gram cost than the 60g or 160g containers for established systems where this food is part of a consistent feeding routine.

Manufactured without artificial colors or preservatives under strict quality control standards.

    Key Features:

    • 2.5mm medium pellet sized for angelfish, triggers, larger tangs, groupers, and other big-mouthed reef fish
    • 40% protein from marine meal sources, including krill meal, mussel meal, and fish meal
    • Contains marine algae, spirulina, and seaweed to cover herbivorous and omnivorous nutritional needs
    • Astaxanthin for natural color enhancement; garlic to encourage acceptance from finicky or new fish
    • β-Glucan supports immune defense against bacterial and parasitic challenges
    • Bacillus Subtilis probiotic supports digestive efficiency and reduces waste output
    • Highly digestible formula reduces nutrient loading from uneaten and partially digested food
    • No artificial colors, preservatives, or harmful additives
    • 560g / 1200ml bulk container offers the best per-gram value across the Marine Superior range

    Ideal For:

    • Larger-stocked reef systems and fish-only tanks running big-mouthed species that are not well served by a 1.6mm pellet
    • Established marine hobbyists who have already confirmed their fish accept the Marine Superior formula and are ready to stock a bulk supply
    • Retailers who carry multiple Marine Superior sizes and want a clear pellet-size-based differentiation story for shoppers with different fish species

    Pro Tips:

    • Do not run the 2.5mm pellet in a mixed-size tank without monitoring. Larger fish will claim the pellets quickly, and smaller community fish may not get an adequate share. In a mixed tank, consider offering the 1.6mm small pellet (DM-MAS541 or DM-MAS542) at the same time in a different area of the tank to ensure all fish feed.
    • The 560g container is a bulk buy — store it properly. Fish food loses nutritional potency and palatability faster once opened. Decant a two to four week supply into a smaller airtight container for daily access and keep the main 560g supply sealed in a cool, dry place to maximize shelf life.
    • Introduce the pellet gradually if your fish are conditioned to frozen food. Large marine fish on a frozen food diet can be slow to accept a pellet. Reducing frozen food portions while offering the garlic-enhanced pellet at each feeding session typically results in acceptance within two to three weeks.
