Over years of continuous submerged operation, motor windings can fatigue, calcium buildup can wear internal bearings, or electrical line faults can disrupt pump performance.
This factory-original replacement pump restores your IceCap K2-50 skimmer to peak organic extraction capability. Engineered around a low-voltage 24V DC motor, the pump works seamlessly with the IceCap DCAIR controller setup to draw high air volumes while consuming minimal electricity. The specialized pinwheel impeller slices the incoming air-water mixture into fine micro-bubbles, building a dense skimmate foam head inside the compact K2-50 reaction chamber.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Disconnect power to your skimmer controller and remove the K2-50 skimmer body from the sump.
Detach the old pump from the skimmer base plate and unscrew the plumbing collar or transition union.
Transfer your venturi air intake nozzle to the suction inlet of the new IC-DCAIR-700 pump.
Mount the new pump onto the skimmer base plate, attach the discharge collar to the skimmer body, and place the assembly back into the sump.
Connect the pump cable to the controller lead, restore power, and adjust your speed setting to establish proper foam height.
Pro Tips:
- Soak in Citric Acid Regularly. Soak the pump motor block and pinwheel impeller in a warm citric acid solution every 3 to 6 months. Dissolving calcium carbonate scale prevents motor drag, reduces operating temperatures, and extends pump life.
- Verify Sump Water Level. Ensure your K2-50 skimmer sits in the recommended water depth (typically 6–7 inches). Operating the pump in water that is too deep creates excessive head pressure, forcing the motor to work harder and reducing air suction.
