    • Easy Reefs Artemia is a freeze-dried marine microalgae feed made to grow artemia, also called brine shrimp.
    • Use it to feed artemia cultures from newly hatched baby brine shrimp through adults, or other crustaceans.
    • It uses 100% Tetraselmis chuii, a microalgae with high digestibility, to feed artemia at every growth stage.
    • Freeze-drying keeps the nutrition of live microalgae in a dry form you mix fresh with seawater each time.

Artemia Food for Raising Brine Shrimp, Made From Freeze-Dried Microalgae

Easy Reefs Artemia is 15g of freeze-dried Tetraselmis chuii, a marine microalgae. Microalgae are tiny plant-like cells that live in the sea. This feed is made for culturing artemia, also called brine shrimp, and other crustaceans. Freeze-drying keeps the same nutrition as live microalgae, including vitamins, essential fatty acids, amino acids, carbohydrates, and proteins.

Tetraselmis chuii is high in antioxidants and easy to digest. Easy Reefs uses this one species at 100% for balanced nutrition at every stage, from newly hatched shrimp to adults.

    Key Features:

    • 100% Tetraselmis chuii, one microalgae species chosen for balanced nutrition
    • High in antioxidants and highly digestible
    • Dosing by culture size: 100 mg per 10 L (2.6 gal) per day for days 1 to 5, then 200 mg per day
    • Freeze-dried to keep the nutrition of live microalgae
    • Best used within 4 months of opening when kept dry, dark, and closed

    Ideal For:

    • Hobbyists who hatch artemia from cysts and need a feed for the first days after hatching
    • Culturists who raise other crustaceans and need a microalgae feed
    • Anyone who wants dry, freeze-dried microalgae instead of keeping live phytoplankton cultures

    Pro Tips:

    • Check the water color after you feed. If the culture water turns clear within a few hours, the microalgae have been eaten. Add more.
    • Mix only what you will use. Leftover mixed microalgae loses nutrition, even in the refrigerator, because it oxidizes.
    • Keep the container dry, dark, and closed. Moisture from condensation breaks down the microalgae, so avoid humid spots.

    Dosage & Usage Instructions:

    Feeding Schedule:
    • Days 1-5 (nauplii and metanauplii): 100mg per 10 liters of culture daily
    • Day 5+ (juvenile and adult): 200mg per 10 liters of culture daily

Visual Check: If the culture water becomes clear a few hours after feeding (microalgae fully consumed), add more Easy reefs Artemia

    Example for 10-Liter Artemia Culture:
    • Hatch artemia cysts according to the manufacturer's instructions
    • Once hatched, begin feeding with Easy reefs Artemia
    • Put 0.5 liters of saltwater into the blender cup
    • Add 100mg Easy reefs Artemia (1 level spatula)
    • Follow resuspension instructions below
    • Remove 0.5 liters from the culture to make room
    • Slowly add phytoplankton preparation to avoid disturbing the sediment
    • Maintain gentle aeration throughout the culture period
    Resuspension Instructions:
    1. Add the indicated amount of saltwater to the blender cup
    2. Add measured Easy reefs Artemia powder
    3. Allow microalgae to hydrate for 1 minute without shaking
    4. Start mixer at lowest speed for 1 minute
    5. Add to culture as directed
    Important Notes:
    • One level spatula = 100mg of microalgae
    • Prepare only what you will use immediately
    • Do not store leftovers - nutritional properties degrade even when refrigerated

    Storage Instructions:

Store in a dark, dry, cool place. Storage temperature should not exceed 25°C (77°F). During the summer months, store in a climate-controlled room.

    After Opening:
