Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Turn off the protein skimmer pump and remove the collection cup.
- Ensure the O-ring on the NK-6000 extension is clean and seated properly in its groove.
- Align the extension with the skimmer neck and press down firmly to create an airtight seal.
- Reinstall the collection cup on top of the extension.
- Restart the skimmer and monitor the water level; you may need to adjust the gate valve to recalibrate the foam height for the added 3 inches.
Pro Tips:
Confirm your vertical clearance.
Adding a 3-inch extension significantly increases the total height of an already large skimmer. Ensure you have at least 4 inches of space above the new height to comfortably remove the collection cup for cleaning.
Lubricate O-rings for ease of maintenance. Applying a thin layer of aquarium-safe silicone lubricant to the O-ring will prevent the acrylic from sticking over time and make it much easier to disassemble the unit for deep cleaning.
Adjust for "Dry" skimmate. If your skimmer currently produces a light, watery waste, the NK-6000 is an excellent way to allow the foam more time to shed water as it rises, resulting in a darker, more concentrated skimmate in the cup.
