- Plan your plumbing route and mark carrier locations. For 20mm pipe, we recommend a carrier every 2 feet to ensure total stability.
- Secure the carrier to your mounting surface using a #8 or #10 Stainless Steel screw (not included).
- Ensure the carrier is oriented so the "opening" of the clip is accessible.
- Firmly press the 20mm metric pipe into the carrier until you hear/feel a "snap."
- To remove the pipe for maintenance, simply pull the pipe away from the base with firm pressure; the clip is designed to flex and release.
Pro Tips:
- Metric vs. Standard. A 20mm pipe carrier is designed for 20mm OD pipe (approx. 0.78 inches). It will not securely hold standard US 1/2" pipe (0.84" OD) or 3/4" pipe (1.05" OD). Always use a caliper to confirm your pipe size.
- Stainless Steel Only. While the carrier is plastic, the screw you use to mount it is the "weak link." Always use 316 Grade Stainless Steel screws to prevent rust and streaks inside your aquarium stand.
