Eliminate Pest Anemones Fast — The Precision Tool for Nano Tanks and Tight Spaces
The Majano Wand Mini makes eliminating pest anemones simple and effective. Using 12V low-voltage electrolysis, it breaks down water molecules within the anemone's cells, causing them to expand and burst on contact. No chemicals, no risk of shock to your tank or its inhabitants. At just 5 inches with a 60-inch lead wire, the Mini is ideal for smaller aquariums and tight spaces, and the wand and cord are fully submersible up to the push button, so you can reach even the most hidden pests. Simply pierce the anemone with the metal tip while holding the button. Repeat until it turns white and gooey, then remove the residue. For larger tanks or deeper reach, the Standard 25.5" model is also available.
Product Highlights:
- Eliminates Majano and Aiptasia anemones on contact — no chemicals needed
- Low-voltage 12V output — safe for tank inhabitants
- 5" wand with 60" lead wire for flexible reach
- Fully submersible wand and cord (push button and adapter must stay dry)
- Simple push-button operation
- Includes protective tip cap and storage box
Ideal For:
Reef tank hobbyists dealing with Majano or Aiptasia anemone infestations in smaller aquariums or hard-to-reach areas.
Pro Tips:
- Do not release the button between pokes. The wand only kills the tissue in direct contact with the needle at the moment of activation. Slide the needle tip continuously along the anemone body while holding the button down to ensure full coverage. Any surviving tissue can regrow quickly.
- Watch for white goo — that is confirmation of a kill. A dead anemone turns white and gooey. Remove the material from the tank as soon as it detaches to keep it out of the water column. If any tissue still appears alive after treatment, go back over it with the tip before calling it done.
- Respect the usage time limits by tank volume. The wand releases gases into the water during use. Exceeding the per-session time limits for your tank volume stresses livestock. See the usage chart in the Instructions tab and wait a full hour before the next session.

⚠️ Caution:
Keep away from children. The probe tip is sharp enough to break skin; handle carefully. The acrylic rod is fragile; do not bend or drop it. Always keep the push button and power adapter out of water. Use only as directed. Do not exceed the recommended usage times per tank size (see chart below).
Instructions:
- Uncoil the wires and plug the power supply into a 110V outlet. Carefully remove the plastic cap from the tip of the Majano Wand.
- Submerge the wand into your aquarium (never submerge the push button or power adapter). Hold the button down while continuously piercing the Majano or Aiptasia with the needle — it will only affect areas the needle directly contacts. Release the button when not touching an anemone.
- After five or six insertions, the anemone should appear completely white and gooey — this means it's dead.
- If any tentacles or tissue still appear alive, touch them with the needle while holding the button. It can be easier to slide the side of the needle along the anemone rather than pierce it.
- Remove the white "goo" that floats to the surface. If any part of the anemone is left alive, it can regrow quickly — repeat steps 2–3 as needed until fully eliminated.
- The wand releases gases during use. Do not exceed the usage times below based on your tank size. After the time limit, wait one hour before using again.
- When finished, rinse and soak the tip in freshwater for one minute, then dry thoroughly.
- Replace the tip cap and store in the original box.
Maximum Usage Times (per session):
Tank Size | Max Usage Time |
300 Gallons | 60 Minutes |
200 Gallons | 40 Minutes |
100 Gallons | 20 Minutes |
50 Gallons | 10 Minutes |
25 Gallons | 5 Minutes |
After each session, wait one (1) hour for gases to disperse before using again.
