Maintaining optimal operating line pressure is essential for maximizing pure water production and high salt rejection rates in reverse osmosis filtration. The IceCap Glycerin-Filled Pressure Gauge (SKU: IC-RI-PG01) is the official OEM replacement pressure gauge designed for IceCap RO and Smart RODI Systems.
Standard dry air pressure gauges often suffer from needle flutter caused by pressure spikes or booster pump harmonics, leading to premature internal gear wear and inaccurate readings. The IC-RI-PG01 features a sealed internal chamber filled with pure liquid glycerin. This fluid dampens internal movement, lubricates the precision brass gearing, and protects internal components from condensation, ensuring smooth and reliable needle performance across years of continuous service.

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Turn off the cold water supply valve feeding your RO/RODI system and relieve system water pressure.
Unthread the old pressure gauge from its 1/4 in quick-connect tee block adapter.
Apply 2 to 3 wraps of Teflon thread tape to the male threads of the new IC-RI-PG01 pressure gauge.
Thread the new gauge hand-tight into the 1/4 in NPT fitting adapter, finishing with a 1/2 turn using a wrench until pointing forward.
Turn the supply water back on, check for leaks around the threaded port, and verify system pressure operating levels.
Pro Tips:
- Monitor Pressure Drops to Identify Clogged Filters. Record your system's baseline pressure with fresh pre-filters. A drop of 5 to 10 PSI below baseline indicates that your sediment or carbon block pre-filters are becoming clogged with particulate waste and require replacement.
- Protect Gauge From Freezing Temperatures. If storing or operating your RODI system in an unheated garage or shed during winter, ensure the system is protected from freezing. Frozen water trapped in the pressure port can burst the internal Bourdon tube mechanism.
