- Unplug the main 24V power transformer brick from your wall socket to cut all live electricity to the equipment bay before replacing components.
- Locate the existing connection point where your thick, waterproof motor cable running from your VarioS-2S pump hooks into the base of the damaged controller.
- Unscrew the threaded plastic locking collar on the multi-pin motor cable connector counter-clockwise, and pull the cord straight out of the socket.
- Unplug any auxiliary lines, such as your automated float switch jack or 0-10V controller patch cables, from their respective bottom ports.
- Pop the old controller unit out of its plastic wall cradle, snap your new ROP-V2S-CTRL module into place, and realign all electronic cables.
- Hand-tighten the waterproof locking rings on the motor cable clockwise, plug your 24V power brick back into the wall, and calibrate your preferred speed line.

- Mount the Controller Completely Outside of Your Sump Cabinet. - Never Hot-Plug the Multi-Pin Motor Cable. Whenever you need to disconnect the pump for seasonal impeller cleaning or plumbing modifications, always unplug the main power transformer from the wall outlet before unscrewing the multi-pin motor connection cord from the base of this controller. Uncoupling or plugging the heavy motor line while the controller is receiving live 24V current can cause an instantaneous micro-arc across the electrical pins.
