Easy reefs Easyphyt is a liquid growth medium built for hobbyists who want to culture their own phytoplankton instead of buying pre-made liquid or gel foods. The formula follows the classic Guillard F/2 recipe, a nutrient blend widely used to grow marine microalgae at small to medium scale.
Easyphyt supports culturing several common strains, including Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, Isochrysis, and Rhodomonas. It is not intended for diatoms like Phaeodactylum or Chaetoceros, which need a separate silicate-rich medium to grow well.

- Match the medium to your strain. Easyphyt works well for Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, Isochrysis, and Rhodomonas, but diatoms like Phaeodactylum need a separate silicate-rich medium to thrive.
- Dose smaller amounts for ongoing harvests. After your initial 5ml per liter dose gets a culture established, drop to 1ml per liter each time you do a partial harvest to keep a semi-continuous culture going.

Instructions:
- Prepare the dilution by mixing 1 part Easyphyt with 4 parts fresh water.
- For a new culture, add the diluted mixture at a rate of 5ml per liter of your culture vessel.
- Position the culture under appropriate lighting and aeration per your chosen strain's requirements.
- Once the culture is established and you begin partial harvests, add 1ml of the dilution per liter each time you harvest to maintain a semi-continuous culture.
- Store the unused pouch in a dark, dry, cool spot below 25°C (77°F). In hot climates, keep it in a climate-controlled room during summer months.
- The pouch compresses as it empties, so there is no need to transfer leftover product to another container between uses.
