EasyLPS, 650g - Premium Targeted Coral Food for LPS Growth, Color, and Vitality
Easy reefs EasyLPS is a scientifically formulated coral food engineered specifically for Large Polyp Stony corals and filter-feeding invertebrates like Tubastrea. Each 800-micron pellet is precision-sized to match the capture capacity of demanding LPS species, including Goniopora, Euphyllia, Acanthastrea, Catalaphyllia, and Blastomussa. The formula combines premium aquatic invertebrates, fish oil, and marine microalgae (Isochrysis galbana, Tetraselmis chuii, Phaeodactylum tricornutum), delivering 63.73% protein plus essential fatty acids, amino acids, and functional micronutrients. The cylinder-shaped pellets hydrate quickly for direct target feeding into coral mouths, maximizing nutrient uptake while minimizing water-column impact. The result is accelerated growth, enhanced coloration with intensified fluorescence from natural pigments like fucoxanthin, improved polyp extension, and strengthened natural defenses against stress and disease.
Key Benefits:
- Enhanced Growth & Vitality – Specifically formulated to boost growth, enhance color, and improve the general vitality of Large Polyp Stony (LPS) corals
- Optimal Nutritional Profile – Provides high nutritional proteins, fatty acids rich in EPA, ARA, and DHA, carbohydrates, and functional micronutrients
- Perfect Pellet Size – Convenient cylinder-shaped pellets measure under 1mm (800 microns) to ensure digestibility and meet the capture capacity of most LPS corals
- Consistent Quality – Single-source ingredients mean consistent batches of high-quality phytoplankton and zooplankton
- Minimal Tank Impact – Target feeding pellets directly into your coral's mouth will ensure minimal impact on your tank's nitrate and phosphate levels
- No Nutrient Loss – Each power-packed pellet delivers nutrients without the risk of losing food to filtration
Complete Coral Nutrition – Fulfills the specific nutritional requirements that LPS corals need to thrive
Ideal For:
- LPS coral collectors maintaining Acanthastrea, Favias, Scolymias, and Chalice corals
- Aquarists growing challenging species like Goniopora, Alveopora, and Tubastrea
- Keepers of Euphyllia (Torch, Hammer, Frogspawn) seeking enhanced growth and color
- Caulastrea and Cynarina enthusiasts wanting maximum polyp extension
- Target-feeding practitioners who minimize water column feeding
- Quality-conscious reefers demanding single-source, traceable ingredients
- Coral growers focused on accelerated growth and propagation
- Advanced aquarists maintaining ultra-low nutrient systems (ULNS)
- Anyone with large-polyped corals that benefit from direct feeding
- Reef tanks with mixed inhabitants where precision feeding prevents overfeeding
Suitable Species Include:
Acanthastrea, Euphyllia (Torch, Hammer, Frogspawn), Goniopora, Alveopora, Catalaphyllia (Elegance), Blastomussa, Cynarina, Scolymia, Favia, Favites, Caulastrea, Tubastrea, Trachyphyllia, Lobophyllia, and other large-polyped stony corals
Pro Tips:
- Feed during evening hours or after lights dim when LPS corals naturally extend their feeding tentacles. You'll see better capture rates and feeding responses dramatically.
- Turn off return pumps and wave makers for 10-15 minutes during feeding to prevent pellets from blowing away before corals can capture them. Resume flow after corals have consumed the food.
- Start with 2 pellets per coral and observe the feeding response. Corals that eagerly consume food can receive 3-4 pellets, while slower feeders may only need 1-2.
- Use a flashlight to watch feeding at night; you'll see polyp extension and feeding behavior you never knew existed, helping you understand which corals need more attention.
- For Goniopora and Alveopora, hydrate pellets slightly longer (3-4 minutes) to ensure a softer texture for their smaller polyps. These corals benefit most from consistent feeding every other day.
