Easy reefs EasySPS EVO Gel Coral Food, 250 ml
SKU: ER-ESPV25
- EasySPS EVO is a 250ml gel food made from natural marine plankton suspended in a mineral base.
- It is formulated for SPS corals that need a steady, dosing-pump-delivered source of nutrition.
- It contains particles from 0.2–400 microns, sized so SPS polyps can capture and consume them.
- The flexible bag blocks light and oxygen and compresses as it empties, protecting freshness throughout use.

Dosing-Pump Gel Food for SPS Corals
EasySPS EVO simplifies feeding SPS corals by supplying a premium mixture of natural marine plankton in a mineral suspension, designed to be delivered through a dosing pump for accurate, regular nutrition. The gel contains particles ranging from 0.2 to 400 microns, with over half falling between 0.45 and 200 microns, sized to match what SPS polyps can actually capture and use.
SPS corals can't meet their full energy needs through photosynthesis alone, and efficient protein skimming and fine mechanical filtration typically strip most organic nourishment from reef systems before corals can use it. EasySPS EVO is built to fill that gap, supplying complex carbohydrates, natural lipids, and nutritional proteins for cellular respiration, growth, and coloration. The manufacturer recommends pairing it with EasyBooster to avoid nutrient limitation and support the system's natural balance.
Key Features:
- Made from Palaemonetes varians, Tetraselmis chuii, Isochrysis galbana, and Phaeodactylum tricornutum
- Palaemonetes varians is rich in glutamine, which triggers a fast feeding response in corals
- Tetraselmis chuii contributes antioxidants (superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase) and is highly digestible for filter feeders
- Phaeodactylum tricornutum supplies beta-glucans that support fish immune response, plus EPA and DHA
- Isochrysis galbana adds omega-3 fatty acids (notably DHA) and natural pigments like lutein and zeaxanthin
- Particle sizes from 0.2–400 microns, sized for SPS polyp capture
- Flexible, light- and oxygen-blocking bag compresses as product is used, protecting freshness after opening
What to Expect:
- Increased coral growth over time
- Higher consumption of inorganic nutrients, with nitrate and phosphate levels typically dropping as corals metabolize them
- Improved coral coloration, as amino acids and fatty acids support pigment production
- Faster consumption of calcium, carbonates, and magnesium — monitor these parameters closely as coral growth speeds up
Ideal For:
- SPS-dominated reef tanks running a dosing pump for supplemental feeding
- Hobbyists supplementing photosynthesis with a targeted nutrition source
- Reef systems with efficient skimming that strip out natural organic nutrition
Pro Tips:
- Follow the weekly ramp-up schedule rather than jumping straight to full dose. Start at 1ml/day in week one, increasing by 1ml each week until reaching 4ml/day (the maintenance dose) by week four.
- Store the bag in a cool, dark, dry place. Keep storage temperature below 25°C (77°F); in warmer months, store in a climate-controlled room if needed.
- Dose near an internal circulation pump. This helps disperse the gel food evenly through the tank instead of settling in one spot.
- You don't need to turn off your skimmer while dosing.
- Spread the daily dose out over the day rather than dosing it all at once, for steadier nutrient availability.

Instructions:
Weekly Ramp-Up Schedule (per 250L of tank water)
- Week 1: 1 ml/day
- Week 2: 2 ml/day
- Week 3: 3 ml/day
- Week 4: 4 ml/day (maintenance/base dose)
After week 4, dosage can be increased further in 1ml/week increments to build zooplankton levels that fish, invertebrates, and corals can also feed on.
Maintenance Range: Dosing generally falls between 4 ml/day (maintenance) and 8 ml/day (medium-high demand) per 250L of tank water, depending on the aquarium's bioload.
Recommended Use: Feed EasySPS EVO using a dosing pump to ensure regular, accurate doses. Insert an Easyconnect or Easyconnect 25 connector into the bag to set it up for automatic dosing. Apply the product near an internal circulation pump for proper dispersion. If dosing manually, pour the required amount into a cup, add aquarium water, stir to disperse, and pour it near a circulation pump. Spread dosing out across the day, and note that the skimmer does not need to be turned off during dosing.
