IceCap RO/DI Replacement Stainless Steel Screws
Reverse osmosis and deionization filtration systems operate in wet utility environments where splashing, condensation, and high humidity are constant. The IceCap RO/DI Stainless Steel Screws (SKU: IC-RI-SS01) are official OEM replacement fasteners engineered specifically for IceCap Reverse Osmosis and RO/DI Systems (including 75, 100, 150, and 200 GPD 4-stage models and the Smart RO/DI system).
On standard RO/DI assemblies, the top caps of 10-inch prefilter and DI resin canisters are fastened to a central structural bracket. Standard zinc-plated or low-grade hardware quickly degrades from ambient moisture, leading to rust streaks, frozen threads, or sheared screw heads during routine filter changes. The IC-RI-SS01 stainless steel screws provide high tensile strength and complete oxidation resistance. Engineered with threads optimized for blind holes in heavy-duty plastic canister caps, they ensure that canisters, membrane retaining clips, and bracket components stay anchored without stripping or seizing over years of operation.
Ideal Replacement Scenario
If your existing reverse osmosis unit has developed rusted or bleeding bracket screws, if screw heads have stripped during canister maintenance, or if you are rebuilding or expanding an IceCap RO/DI chassis with add-on canisters, installing authentic IC-RI-SS01 stainless steel screws restores clean, corrosion-free structural integrity.

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Turn off the cold water supply feeding the RO/DI system and release line pressure by opening the pure water output line.
If replacing existing rusted screws, carefully back them out using a properly sized manual Phillips screwdriver to prevent stripping the head.
Align the mounting bracket holes with the top threaded mounting bosses of the filter canister cap or membrane clip.
Thread the new IC-RI-SS01 stainless steel screws into the holes by hand to ensure the threads seat squarely.
Tighten the screws evenly using a manual screwdriver until snug against the bracket. Do not over-torque into the plastic housing.
Verify that the canister cap or bracket is held firmly in place without play or twisting.
Pro Tips:
- Use Hand Tools Only—Never Power Drivers. Canister tops are molded from reinforced polymer, and using an electric drill or impact driver can instantly strip the plastic female threads or crack the screw boss. Always drive IC-RI-SS01 screws by hand using a hand-held Phillips screwdriver to feel the resistance and stop once snug.
- Add a Touch of Silicone Lubricant to the Threads. Applying a tiny dab of pure silicone grease to the screw threads before installation reduces friction when cutting into plastic bosses and forms a water barrier that keeps salt dust and mineral moisture from binding the threads over time.
