- Cut the 40mm metric pipe square and use a deburring tool to smooth the edges to protect internal gaskets.

- Apply PVC primer and solvent cement to both the pipe end and the internal valve socket.
- Insert the pipe into the socket with a slight twist and hold for 30–45 seconds.
Pro Tips:
- For maximum reliability, install the valve in a vertical position (upward flow) so gravity assists the internal seal.
- Metric vs. Standard 1.5-Inch. A 40mm metric valve will not fit 1.25" or 1.5" USA Standard Schedule 40/80 pipe. 40mm is approximately 1.57 inches, whereas US 1.5" pipe has a 1.90-inch OD. Always measure your existing pipe with a caliper to confirm you are using metric components.
