    • The Milwaukee 4.01pH Buffer is a 230mL solution for calibrating pH meters, probes, and testers.
    • It is made for pH meters, pens, probes, monitors, and controllers that use a 4.01 calibration point.
    • The ±0.01 pH accuracy helps support repeatable calibration for low-range pH meter readings.
    • The 230mL bottle gives more solution for repeat use than single packets used for one calibration.

pH 4.01 Calibration Buffer Solution for pH Probes

The Milwaukee 4.01pH Buffer Calibration Solution 230ml is a ready-to-use pH 4.01 buffer for pH meters, probes, testers, monitors, and controllers. It is used during calibration when the meter requires a 4.01 pH reference point.

This 230mL bottle is useful for hobbyists, stores, and service techs who calibrate pH equipment often. The solution is rated at ±0.01 pH accuracy, helping support steady calibration when used with clean probes and proper meter instructions.

    Key Features:

    • pH 4.01 calibration buffer solution for pH meters and probes.
    • 230mL bottle format for repeat calibration use.
    • Standard ±0.01 pH accuracy for repeatable calibration.
    • Ready-to-use liquid avoids powder mixing.
    • Used with pH testers, pens, monitors, controllers, and probes.
    • Helps verify or adjust pH readings during routine calibration.
    • Suitable for aquarium, service, and general pH meter maintenance.

    Ideal For:

    • Aquarium hobbyists calibrating pH meters that require a 4.01 buffer point.
    • Service techs and stores that calibrate pH probes more than once or twice.
    • Controller users maintaining pH probes for reef tanks, freshwater systems, or dosing setups.

    Pro Tips:

    • Use clean solution each time. Pour only what you need into a clean cup. Do not dip a dirty probe into the main bottle.
    • Do not return used buffer. Used solution can be contaminated by tank water or other buffers. Discard it after calibration.
    • Rinse between buffers. Rinse the probe with clean water before moving between 4.01 and 7.01 solutions. This helps avoid cross-contamination.
    • Let the reading settle. Give the probe time to stabilize before confirming the calibration point.
    • Store the bottle closed. Keep the cap tight and store the bottle away from heat and direct light.

    Instructions:

    1. Pour a small amount of 4.01pH buffer into a clean calibration cup.
    2. Rinse the pH probe or tester tip with clean water before calibration.
    3. Place the probe or tester tip into the 4.01pH buffer.
    4. Wait for the reading to stabilize.
    5. Complete the calibration step according to the meter, monitor, or controller instructions.
    6. Rinse the probe after calibration before placing it into another buffer or back into the aquarium system.
    7. Discard used buffer. Do not pour it back into the bottle.
    8. Close the bottle tightly after use and store it away from heat and direct light.
    9. Calibrate monthly, or as directed by the meter or controller manufacturer.
