You Will Need

  1. Download the firmware file to your computer.  DO NOT open or edit the .bin file with a text editor such as NotePad or MS-Word as it will render the file useless.

WARNING

Please be sure to install ONLY the correct firmware for your device.  Installing the wrong firmware on your device will render the device inoperable AND will void all warranties.

Enter Firmware Update Mode:

  1. Login to your KHG local web interface page.  You can do this by typing your KHG's IP address and port on your browser.  (e.i. 192.168.1.20:8090)
  2. Type in your password.  The default password is "Admin"
  3. Click on the grayed out "ENG Mode ON" found immediately below the "SW Tube De-Gas" button
  4. Click on "System Setup" button

Updating the Firmware

IMPORTANT:

Early versions of KHG do not allow for firmware update.  If your KHG does not have a "Firmware Update" section, you may have an early KHG version.  In this case (U.S. Customers ONLY), submit a ticket at http://www.coralvue.com/support to send your unit in for PCB upgrade.

  1. Scroll down to "Firmware Update" section and click on "Select .BIN File"
  2. Select and open the firmware file you previously downloaded.  (e.i. _V8FW.XXXX.bin)
  3. Make sure that the CheckSum number on the KHG Firmware Update section matches the CheckSum number above.  If not, firmware file has been compromised and you should stop the update, download the firmware file again and recheck the CheckSum number.
  4. Once confirmed that both CheckSum numbers match, click on "Upgrade"

While Upgrading

The webpage will show NO NOTIFICATIONS that the update is going on.  DO NOT close the browser window under any circumstances.  Check your KHG display monitor for upgrade status.  Once upgrade has reached 100%, please do the following:

  1. Once upgrade status reaches 100%, your KHG will begin to beep.  At this point, disconnect the unit from power
  2. Wait 10 seconds and then power up the unit again
  3. The Upgrade process is now complete

Verify Firmware Version

  3. Click on the grayed out "ENG Mode ON" found immediately below the "SW Tube De-Gas" button
